Inp.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh  Acting Governor of North Sumatra, Agus Fatoni, apologized on Wednesday (11/9/2024) for the shortcomings in the preparation of the National Sports Week (PON) XXI Aceh-North Sumatra 2024, acknowledging delays in services and inadequate facilities.

 “We are aware that preparations are not perfect, and we apologize for any inconvenience,” he said during a press conference, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Despite issues such as delayed transportation for contingents and discomfort at some venues, improvements are underway. 

Governor Fatoni assured that main access roads to the volleyball venue are now complete, and efforts are ongoing to enhance infrastructure. 

Volleyball competitions kicked off with Jakarta defeating East Kalimantan and Central Java won against Yogyakarta.
