inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Vice Chief of Indonesian House of Representative Commission III Ahmad Sahroni expressed his appreciation to the Indonesian National Police for the arrest of 11 suspects of online gambling activities, which includes 10 Communication and Digital Ministry staffs.

In his statement, Sahroni asks for police to continue their firm and stern actions against all online gambling collaborators, including the state officials.

“Arrest them all who indicated to collaborate with the online gambling, including those in the Communication and Digital Ministry. The Commission III will always support the police in eradicating online gambling,” said Sahroni on Friday (11/1/2024).

Sahroni admitted that he had doubted the target of the Chief of Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo who wanted to eradicate online gambling in 100 working days. However, with the results of the Police's work in the last few days, he is sure that the target could be achieved.

"When the Chief of Police set a 100-day target to eradicate online gambling, honestly I was a bit skeptical. Can a crime of this magnitude be resolved quickly? But in just a few days, there have been major arrests like this. I now withdraw my skepticism and believe that this 100-day target can be achieved, especially since the President's instructions to the Chief of Police are also firm," said Sahroni.
