Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (Bappebti) has advised on Wednesday (11/9/2024) Indodax customers not to panic after a suspected hacking incident on the cryptocurrency platform. 

Indodax, one of Indonesia's leading crypto exchanges, reported a potential breach in its transaction system, according to antaranews.com..

"Indodax is currently conducting a complete system shutdown to ensure everything operates smoothly," Kasan, the Head of Bappebti, explained, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Indodax CEO, Oscar Darmawan, confirmed the hacking suspicion, saying, "Our transaction system is suspected of being hacked. We are conducting a thorough investigation and system maintenance."

During this process, both the Indodax website and mobile app will remain inaccessible. However, Oscar reassured customers that their balances, whether in cryptocurrency or rupiah, are safe.
