A team of Criminal Violence of Gerenal Criminal Investigation Directorate of North Sumatra Regional Police has successfully apprehended eight violent motorbike gang members. The eight gang members are RP alias Batak, AS alias CS, FS, NA, EET, M, D and D. These notorious gang members have raided and robbed many victims on the street brutally. In their criminal actions they use sharp weapons either to only intimidate their victim, or worse, to attack them. Police report that these criminals operate in Medan City, Binjai City, and Langkat Regency. With the growing concern for the province public security and order and a report from the local community, police immediately dispatch their member and able to arrest the first two suspect, RP and AS, in Bejemuna Street, Langkat Regency. Afterward, police from Binjai Sub-regional Police have arrested another six gang members with the initials of FS, NA, EET, M, D and D. Moreover, North Sumatra Regional Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Superintendent Hadi Wahyudi adds that the eight arrested criminals have been apprehended seven times due to their criminal actions in Helvetia, Sunggal, Binjai and Langkat. They terrorized civilians on the road with sharp weapons to gave up their motorbike. “The money they got from selling the motorbikes was used to buy drugs. The urine test result from the eight suspects shows that they are positive in using the drugs. They are now have been secured and threatened to be imprisoned form 12 years,” said Hadi firmly.
