North Sumatra Regional Police Open Hotline for Complaints of Victims of Indonesian migrant workers Ships Sinking in Malaysia

The North Sumatra Regional Police opened a telephone line (hotline) for the families of the victims of the ship carrying Indonesian migrant workers that sank in the waters of Sekinchan, Selangor, Malaysia, on Saturday (12/25/2021). The Head of Public Relations Division of the North Sumatra Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi, said the service hotline for people who had lost their family members was +62 813-7545-6111. "Until now, in North Sumatra, there have been no family members who have reported the incident. But we have prepared a DVI (Disaster Victim Identification) team. Likewise, the antemortem post," he said, Wednesday (12/29/2021). Previously, it was reported that the ship sank in Sekinchan, Selangor, Malaysia, on Saturday, December 25, 2021. The boat was carrying 57 Indonesian migrant workers from Indonesia to Malaysia. In the incident, 35 passengers were rescued, and ten people died. The rest have not yet been found.
