inp.polri.go.id - In the Jaran Rinjani Operation 2022, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Police manage to reveal several cases of theft, robbery, and bike theft. The operation that was conducted from August 28th to September 1st, 2022, they have managed to apprehend 363 suspects from 275 reports. “Jaran Rinjani Operation 2022 aims to handle criminal cases such as theft, robbery, and bike theft. There are 363 supects where 72 of them are from Lombok Island and 54 of them are from Sumbawa Island,” said NTB Police Chief, Inspector General Djoko Poerwanto, in Mataram, Wednesday (9/14). NTB Police Chief also implored the people to always be cautious around their own neighborhood. Commissioner Teddy Ristiawan also stated that Jaran Rinjani Operation 2022, that was held simultaneously in all Resort Police throughout NTB as an effort to uphold the law in the community. Commissioner Teddy Ristiawan revealed the evidence that they managed to secure includes Homemade firearms, seven rounds of 3.8 millimeter caliber bullets, crowbars, sickles, swords, and fake keys. While the stolen items that the police managed to secure are a bike along with its Vehicle Registration Certificates, fan, television, laptop, handphone, coffee grinders, and gas cylinders. The suspects will be charged with Article 362 of the Criminal Code on theft, Article 363 of the Criminal Code on Stealing, Article 365 of the Criminal Code on Curas, and Article 480 of the Criminal Code on intermediaries with a sentence of 4-12 years.
