inp.polri.go.id - The awareness of Geusan Ulun residents whose being disciplined in traffic laws made the people initiated to establish “Kampung Tertib Berlalu Lintas” or Village of Orderly Traffic inside their housing complex. Ahmadi Mamad Sudiotomo, as the community leader of Geusan Ulun, said that in 2018, they got a request from Bandung Police Chief to held a socialization on traffic order, and on that year the community began to establish the Village. “Thanks to the guidance from Bandung Traffic Police, we are able to get through it all, and now, as we can see, the ‘Kampung Tertib Berlalu Lintas’ is able to run well. For me, I am very satisfied with it,” said Ahmadi Mamad Sudiotomo. The village itself got a special attention from the National Police Traffic Corps due to being the only village exist inside a big city. “Here in Bandung, we got the first village of orderly traffic inside a big city. The city itself appreciates the community who paid attention to the traffic law. Thus we award them with safety pioneer pin,” said Commissioner Arman Achdiat, Wednesday (9/14). He adds that these programs are aimed to instill traffic order awareness as early as possible to the community.
