Inp.polri.go.id - Mataram.  The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police have been preparing traffic management plans for the 2024 MotoGP event, which will be held at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit from 27 to 29 September 2024.

West Nusa Tenggara Police Traffic Director, Senior Superintendent Romadhoni Sutardjo, said on Tuesday (24/9/2024) that the traffic arrangements will focus on the five main entry points to Lombok Island: Kayangan, Bangsal, Lembar, and Gili Mas Ports, as well as Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport (BIZAM).

Given that President Joko Widodo and presidential elect Prabowo Subianto are expected to attend on 29 September 2024, the police will impose strict traffic control at these entry points.

"There will be no full road closures, only temporary ones during their arrival," Chief Romadhoni explained, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Traffic management from the BIZAM roundabout for MotoGP spectators will be similar to previous years, but no contraflow will be implemented. The focus will be on managing post-race traffic to avoid congestion.

Security outside the circuit will be supported by security posts at key access points, ensuring that only vehicles with appropriate stickers can enter designated areas.
