Fakhiri ensure 2024 General Election logistic distribution will be employed along with the Indonesian Military Force (TNI) and Papua General Election Commission (KPU). “TNI and Indonesian National Police (INP) are ready to lend their hand if KPU ever needs us, including during the election logistics distribution,” says Mathius on Monday (1/29/2024). Mathius continue that in Papua, there are locations that is difficult to pass or reach due to bad weather, such as Mamberamo Raya Regency. At the location, river often overflows, and requires officials to walk for two or three days. Moreover, there are also the outermost part of Island in Indonesia at the Pacific Ocean, which has its own difficulties such as high waves with height up to two meters. However, currently Papua Regional Police have two patrol boats on standby at Jayapura, also helicopters in Cenderawasih XVII Regional Military Commander. “The point is, if KPU ever face difficulties in distributing logistics and asked for our aid, we will definitely send our help,” said Mathius.
