inp.polri.go.id - Mataram. NTB Police Chief (Kapolda NTB), Inspector General Djoko Poerwanto immediately monitored the gathering point of MotoGP spectators to ensure that the traffic flow for the Mandalika MotoGP event ran smoothly.
"We want to make sure that all spectators who come to the Mandalika Circuit feel comfortable, don't get stuck in traffic, and don't jostle in long queues to watch the event," stated Inspector General Djoko Poerwanto in his written statement in Praya, Saturday.
Inspector General Djoko Poerwanto said that the cars will be directed to the parking lots that have been prepared for them. One of them is East Parking in the Mandalika Circuit area which is a parking lot for thousands of vehicles and then they will be escorted using a "shuttle bus" to the entrance of the circuit.
"Previously, spectators had to exchange their ticket into a bracelet in several places that had been prepared," said the Two-Star General.
Kapolda NTB hopes that the MotoGP event will run smoothly and safely.
"The purpose of this security efforts is so that the event can run smoothly. For that reason, we will assess all places surrounding Mandalika circuit, from places to stop, ticket exchanges, to bus turning points," said the Akabri graduate in 1989.
The former Dirtipidkor Bareskrim Polri said all aspects of security had been well prepared, and hopefully, the event can run safely and smoothly.
"So far, everything is already well prepared. So like I said earlier, everything in here must be in sync," said Inspector General Djoko Poerwanto.
Kapolda NTB stated that more than 3,000 joint personnel are ready to secure the MotoGP motorcycle racing event which will take place at the Mandalika Circuit on March 18-20, 2022.
That personnel is a joint team from the TNI, Polri, and related agencies, including Basarnas, Transportation Service, Satpol-PP, Health Service, airport, and port security authorities.
