inp.polri.go.id - Mataram. The NTB Police (Polda NTB) proposed that the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) as the organizer could add more ticket exchange booths for the 2022 MotoGP. “We propose that ticket exchange locations should not be focused in one place, but spread across the venue. We have conveyed that to the organizers," said the Head of the Operational Bureau (Karo Ops) of Polda NTB Commissioner Imam Thobroni in Mataram, Monday (7/3/22) Commissioner Imam Thobroni explained that this was proposed to anticipate the crowd of spectators who wanted to exchange tickets. His party predicts that if the exchange outlets are only concentrated in one location, there will be long queues and it would be less efficient. "Imagine about 50 thousand people are queueing to exchange their tickets," stated Karo Ops Polda NTB. Not to mention that at the exchange location, MGPA also planned to place an antigen swab test and vaccines certification check through the PeduliLindung application. "If that's the case, it has the potential to cause long lines and crowds," he explained. With that conditions, Commissioner Imam Thobroni was worried that it would have a bad impact on the event and the community in general. The satisfaction of the audience, of course, must be the focus of the organizer's service. Don't let the long queues make the audience have to linger in the location and gives a negative impression, and has the potential to cause commotion and protests. "That's why we need a ticket exchange at another location," explained Karo Ops Polda NTB. His party has advised MGPA to set up a MotoGP ticket exchange booth in every entrance corridor to the circuit area. "For example, at the former Selaparang Airport, Mataram City. From there, we can use it to exchange the tickets," explained Karo Ops Polda NTB. Karo Ops Polda NTB revealed that related to this proposal, MGPA has not given approval and stated that more technical discussion is needed. "The important thing is, there must be a solution for this issue immediately," he explained.
