The West Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Akhmad Wiyagus expressed his condolences for the horrifying traffic accident at the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road KM 8. The accident involved two buses and a private vehicle. The Head of West Java Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Julest Abast says that the police chief immediately went to visit the victims and families at the hospital. “The West Java Regional Police Chief and ranks express his condolences for the dead in the traffic accident. As of now, he is visiting the victims in Karawang Hospital,” says Abast on Monday (4/8/2024). According to him, the accident occurred on the traffic going towards Jakarta. Due to the accident, police reports there are nine fatalities with two others suffering major injuries. (ad/ay/pr/nm)
