Six ships dispatched to escort the election logistics from Marina Ancol Port, North Jakarta, to Pramuka Island, Kepulauan Seribu Regency. “The election logistics will be moved by a wooden boat with just a speed of 10 knots,” says Kepulauan Seribu Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Jarot on Friday (2/9/2024). Jarot noted that the officials have indeed decided to transport the logistics carefully by using a low-speed boat. It is estimated that the logistics will arrive in Pramuka Island after sailing through the waters for three to four hours. “There are 60 joint personnel from the military, police, transportation services, civil service police units, Election Supervisory Body officials, and others involved in securing the distribution,” add Jarot. It is worth noting that the distribution to Pramuka Island is known to be dangerous due to the current weather. Fortunately, the weather seems to support the distribution as the sun shines bright in the sky while officials distribute the logistics to the island. (ad/ay/pr/nm)
