Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Police Strategic Studies Institute (Lemkapi) views the Indonesian National Police (INP) has been long since always neutral in every democracy festive. The Executive Director of Lemkapi, Edi Hasibuan views INP, in all of its leadership, is always bold in enforcing the law against its own member who tainted INP neutrality. Moreover, during the leadership of General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, neutarality has become the main commitment that has been enforced to his ranks. “If there are any INP members who are proven bias, I am sure the institution would heavily punish the guilty,” said Edi on Thursday (11/16/2023). According to him, during the election security operation INP is not permitted to be biased to any presidential and vice-presidential candidates or to any political parties. Other than that, INP is firmly prohibited from conducting practical politics. “This has been regulated in Law Number 2 of 2002 concerning the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.
