inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Papua Regional Police carries out Fuel Oil inspection to several gas stations in Jayapura City in response to the long queues around the gas stations.

Papua Regional Police Special Criminal Investigation Director, Senior Superintendent Ade Sapari says that from the police inspection, they found two vehicles with modded fuel tanks in Nagoya gas station which allegedly were used for tapping or refilling Bio Solar fuel with dual plate numbers.

“Those tanks were empty during our inspection and were indicated to hoard the subsidized fuel oil,” says Ade.

According to him, actions taken by his personnel include securing a yellow Mitsubishi Canter car with the plate number of PA 8864 AL. The gas tank of the car has been modified to accommodate a 1,000 liters of solar fuel oil, a diesel suction machine, and dual plate numbers.

“Also, we also secured a black Mitsubishi Ragsa car with the plate number of PA 9992 AD with a modified gas tank of 1,200 liters, diesel suction machine and double plate numbers," he said,” adds Ade.

He explains that his party had first clarified the findings to the truck drivers and coordinated with Papua Regional Police Traffic Directorate to uphold the law enforcement against vehicles which are not up to the standard.

Furthermore, Papua Regional Police says that they will continue the inspection and ensure that the distribution of subsidized fuel is going according to the policy and prevent any illegal distribution from irresponsible individuals.
