inp.polri.go.id - Ternate. North Maluku Regional Police has found several hate speeches in social media, a black campaign, against several candidates ahead of the 2024 Regional Head Election.

“Currently, our cyber patrol team is patrolling in the digital space after we found black campaigns towards several regional head candidates,” said the North Maluku Regional Police Chief, Midi Siswoko on Monday (7/22/2024).

He says that the cyber team will continue to patrol across various social media because various methods used by buzzers are dangerous to be spread in public as it would entice disunity.

On the other hand, Midi Siswoko underscores the importance of unity in realizing a safe and peaceful election. Such a goal could be accomplished by working together with various stakeholders and the general public.

The North Maluku Regional Police and media are committed to work together in building strong synergy in creating a conducive situation ahead and during the election.
