inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Agency says the inspection on 21st National Sport Week (PON) Aceh-North Sumatra is still ongoing. The investigation team is still at the location to oversee the event until it is over.

“The team will return on Saturday (9/21/2024) from Aceh-North Sumatra after PON is officially over,’ says the Vice Director of INP Corruption Criminal Investigation Directorate, Senior Superintendent Arief Adiharsa when confirmed on Friday (9/20/2024).

Furthermore, he reveals that the investigators will analyze the findings from the inspection of the event.

He emphasized that currently investigators cannot conclude whether there is a fund embezzlement during PON preparation or not. According to him, the team at the location will have to report their findings before it gets concluded.

“Findings will soon be analyzed, evaluated, and reported to the higher officials after they return to Jakarta,” concludes Arief.
