inp.polri.go.id - Padang Pariaman. Padang Pariaman Sub-regional Police have named a new suspect in the murder case of a food seller girl. The new suspect has the initials MJ alias DN as the uncle of the suspect.

Padang Pariaman Sub-regional Police Chief Superintendent Ahmad Faisol Amir said that suspect MJ played a role in obstructing the investigation of the case by helping Indra escape. MJ told suspect Indra to escape after hearing that the girl's body had been found.

"We have named MJ alias DN as a suspect in the case of obstructing the investigation which resulted in the suspect's escape," said the Police Chief on Saturday (9/28/2024).

During the examination, suspect MJ admitted to feeling sorry for Indra because of their closeness and family relations.

"For his actions, MJ was charged with Article 221 of the Criminal Code with a maximum prison sentence of 9 months," he explained.
