Police Rescues 29 Human Trafficking Victims as Two Suspect Arrested

Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The police have raided a rented house in Kebon Kelapa village, Pelabuhanratu, Sukabumi for being a checkpoint for dozens of illegal Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI). On the raid, police found 29 people from various regions of Indonesia gathered in the house. Police arrested a woman with the initials of CI and and a man with the initials of AS. Sukabumi Sub-regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant Maruly Pardede explained that CI is the wife of other suspect who are on the run. He explained that CI has the role of accepting the administrative payment amounting to IDR 40 million from the victims. Other than CI, police have secured a man with the initials of AS who has the role in luring the victims by uploading job vacations in social media. “The transactions of IDR 40 millions said to be administrative payment was delivered to CI bank accounts, so it could be said that CI is the higher ups of AS. Both were in Jakarta during our raid,” Sukabumi Police chief said in conclusion. (ad/my/pr/nm)
