Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)'s Criminal Investigation Agency has been investigating a figure identified only as "T," allegedly a key operator in Indonesia's online gambling network.

The investigation follows claims by Benny Rhamdani, the Head of the Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Agency (BP2MI), who first mentioned a figure identified by initial "T" as a major player in the online gambling industry.

“We are conducting an investigation,” said Brigadier Gejeral Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro, the INP Criminal Investigation Agency’s Director of General Crime, on Friday (26/7/2024).

He confirmed that Benny is scheduled to be questioned as a witness on Monday.

Benny had previously indicated that "T" is a well-known figure, even referenced in a high-level meeting with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo.
