Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The organizing committee of the National Sports Week (PON) XXI 2024 in North Sumatra vowed to resolve issues with venue preparations. 

Mulyono, the Head of Venue Affairs for the PON XXI North Sumatra Organizing Committee, assured that all problems are being addressed swiftly to meet required standards.

“We've been working tirelessly to ensure all venues are ready and meet the standards set for each sport,” he said at a press conference in Medan on Saturday (14/9/2024).

One major concern was the indoor volleyball venue, which faced delays. Mulyono confirmed it is now ready. 

“While there were early challenges, the venue is now in excellent condition for matches,” he explained, as quote by antaranews.com.

Mulyono added that while challenges are inevitable, teamwork between local administration and technicians is key to ensuring PON XXI’s success as both a sporting event and a symbol of national unity.
