"The joint team of the National Police and BPBD set up tents for people whose houses were heavily damaged and cleaned up the garbage left over from the flood," said the Luwuk Police Chief. The Luwuk Police Chief, AKP Candra, explained that this community service activity is also part of the concern for the Police, local governments, and related agencies in responding to the conditions of residents affected by floods. "This is a form of our commitment in helping the people affected by the flood," he explained. Previously, floods hit Pohi Village and Indang Sari Village, East Luwuk District, causing at least six houses belonging to residents and a number of livestock to be washed away by the flood, 62 houses were heavily damaged and 30 houses were slightly damaged. The flood that hit the two villages was due to heavy rainfall for approximately three hours, from 12:00 to 15:00 WITA, causing two tributaries to overflow into residential areas with a water level of about two meters.
