Inp.polri.go.id – Jambi. Jambi Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Rusdi Hartono led the send-off rally for the polling station security across the province on Saturday (2/10/2024). The rally was held in Black Field of Jambi Regional Police HQ. In his remarks, the Two-Star General told his personnel to perform well in securing the polling stations and to avoid any actions that could taint the good name of the institution. He emphasized his personnel to only secure the polling stations and not to get involved with the vote process. “Don’t do anything that would harm our neutrality in the election,” warned the police chief. Rusdi noted that in the election, the Indonesian National Police is tasked with the responsibility to secure the democracy of the state during the election. Therefore, he implores to all personnel to perform well in the security operation. “We and related stakeholders are working together to make sure that the election would go smoothly and well,” said Rusdi in his closing statement.
