Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A total of  1,646 officers from Banten Regional Police were deployed to secure polling stations across the region's jurisdiction. "Today, we briefed 1,646 Banten Regional Police personnel for the polling station security," confirmed Police Senior Superintendent Dedy Suhartono, Banten Police's Chief of Operational Bureau, on Saturday (10/2/2024). He underscored the strategic significance of this briefing, signifying the commencement of operational management stages and conducting a final readiness assessment for the personnel. "Our goal is to effectively fulfill the primary duties and responsibilities of the INP to safeguard and ensure the success of the 2024 Elections," Chief Dedy emphasized. Highlighting directives from Chief of the Banten Regional Police Inspector General Abdul Karim, he stressed the importance of personnel being mentally and physically prepared with moral commitment and work discipline. In the Banten Regional Police jurisdiction, potential vulnerabilities during the 2024 Elections include supporter clashes and natural disasters. "These vulnerabilities encompass conflicts among supporters and natural disasters," he noted.
