inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Religion, K. H. Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, said that the Prophet's Birthday is not only a momentum to commemorate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad SAW., but also an opportunity to live the noble teachings conveyed by the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

"The commemoration of the Prophet's Birthday contains deep meaning for Indonesia. The figure of the Prophet reminds us of the importance of unity and togetherness in the midst of diversity," he explained on Sunday (09/15/2024).

According to him, the Prophet Muhammad SAW is a perfect example in various aspects of life, both as a servant of Allah and a leader of the people, as well as a statesman who built the Medina community with the principles of justice, tolerance, and compassion.

"The Prophet taught that differences are not something that holds us back to living side by side, but rather a wealth that must be maintained and respected. In Medina, the Prophet built a harmonious society amidst the diversity of tribes and religions," Yaqut explained.

Yaqut said that we should continue to strive to make Indonesia a nation that is harmonious, peaceful, and even just and emphasized the importance of religious moderation in creating a harmonious life and mutual respect.

"As a diverse nation, we must continue to practice religious moderation in order to create a harmonious life and mutual respect," he said.

He said that the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad SAW are the key to togetherness and sustainable peace. He invited Muslims to make the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad's Birthday a momentum to strengthen their commitment to emulating the morals of the Prophet.

"Both in relations with Allah and fellow human beings. As well as in maintaining the nation and state," he said.

At the end of the opportunity he expressed through this commemoration, hopefully he and muslims across Indonesia can continue to boost their love for the Prophet Muhammad SAW, as well as applying his teachings in every step of life.
