inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) continues to carry out reforestation and release of animals in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) area as an effort to maintain the natural ecosystem in East Kalimantan.
"Thus, the concept of green city can continue to be realized for our IKN in the future," explained the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Mochamad Basuki Hadimoeljono on Saturday (9/14/2024).
Minister Basuki also said that the construction of reservoirs in IKN not only serve as a landscape or aesthetics for the modern city, but also an effort to conserve water resources.
The release of birds and fish seeds in the reservoir is also expected to maintain the natural ecosystem in IKN with the goal of preserving nature in the area.
On the other hand, Minister Basuki says MBH reservoir has a capacity of around 66 thousand cubic meters with a depth of 5-6 meters to accommodate rainwater in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP).
The plan is to build around 60 reservoirs in KIPP as in accordance with the direction of President Joko Widodo.
"The construction of these reservoirs does not dig the ground, but utilizes riparian to accommodate runoff in accordance with the contour of the land that flows into the reservoirs," he concluded.
