A resident of Balaraja, Tangerang, who was shot by motorcycle robbers in front of a convenience store in Jayanti on Thursday, passed away during intensive care at the RSUD Balaraja Regional General Hospital on Friday.

Dr. Aang Sunarto, the  RSUD Balaraja spokesperson, confirmed on Saturday (7/9/2024) that the victim, identified as FS (27), had been in critical condition since his arrival and underwent surgery to remove a bullet from his head as reported by antaranews.com.

Despite receiving intensive treatment, including life support, FS did not survive.

The Tangerang City Sub-regional Police have identified two suspects and are analyzing CCTV footage to further investigate the case. According to Senior Inspector Arief N. Yusuf, the Tangerang Police Head of Criminal Investigation, the projectile found in FS’s body is being examined to determine the type of firearm used.

FS had confronted the robbers attempting to rob his motorcycle when one of them shot him. The suspects fled the scene after the shooting.
