Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar.  Denpasar City Sub-regional Police in Bali has named on Saturday (7/6/2025) six detainees as suspects in the alleged fatal assault of another inmate, who had recently been placed in custody on charges of child molestation.

“The six suspects have been charged under the Criminal Code for group assault,” said Bali RegionalPolice Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Ariasandy on Saturday. “They are narcotics detainees who are awaiting trial.”

He explained that the incident occurred on 4 June 2025 when the suspect, identified as AI (34), was reportedly beaten by fellow inmates shortly after entering the detention cell. He was alive when found and was rushed to Bhayangkara Police Hospital but later died from his injuries.

Police are continuing their investigation and have yet to confirm the motive behind the attack. All six suspects remain in custody during the ongoing probe.
