The Head of Indonesian National Police (INP) Kramatjati Hospital, Police Brigadier General Hariyanto states that the victim of fiber cable accident Sultan Rif'at has been allowed to go home since two weeks ago. Sultan has been able to take outpatient procedure after being hospitalized for almost four months. "Sultan has been undergoing treatment of general medication and psychiatry, surgery and post-surgery treatment, including speech therapy and visiotherapy, and will be continued with outpatient procedure," says Hariyanto during press conference on Tuesday (13/12/2023). Hariyanto adds that weight treatment for Sultan also shows progression. Initially when Sultan first came to the hospital, his weight was just 46 kg, however after four months of treatment he gained weight to 56 kg. Head of Patient Handling Team, dr. Yosita Rahma reports that after the last surgery on November 16th, 2024, Sultan was able to eat again. After several medical check up, Sultan was then allowed to go home. "The patient has already been able to eat porridge well. He has also been able to speak with electrolarynx, his nutrition has been recoverd, he has gained weight, and his neck wound has healed well," says Rahma Fatih Nurul Huda, Sultan's father, has also conveyed his highest gratitude to the INP Chief, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo for the medical facility given to his son. Fatih also conveyed his gratitude to hospital staff and management for their care. "This feels like a miracle for us, no words can described how grateful we are. We have never imagined something like this, because what we felt at that time were just sadness and despair," says Fatih. Fatih then reveals that his son have 100% returned to his daily activity. Sultan has returned to play basketball, cycling, lifting weights, and practice motorcycling. Sultan himself has also given his statement for his current condition. He conveys how happy he is to be able to speak and recovered fully. "The utmost important for me is to convey my highest gratitude to Sir Sigit and hospital management who lend their hands in treating me well," says Sultan. (ad/inp/pr/nm)
