inp.polri.go.id - Banjarbaru. The South Kalimantan Regional Police harvest hundreds of kilograms of vegetables at the Sustainable Food Yard (P2L) planted with a greenhouse system.
"There are four types of vegetables harvested today after 28 days of planting, namely bok choy, spinach and water spinach," said the South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Rosyanto Yudha Hermawan on Monday (2/24/2025).
In supporting the national program of food security, a total of 10 greenhouses were built by the South Kalimantan Regional Police together with the South Kalimantan Bhayangkari Management. Four greenhouses have been harvested today with a hydroponic vegetable cultivation system.
Hermawan stated that his party still continue their strong support to the food security program, including mobilizing the Bhayangkari Management led by the Chairperson of the South Kalimantan Bhayangkari, Yennie Rosyanto Yudha.
Currently, the focus is still on ensuring that corn plants on 120 hectares of land in wetlands can grow well.
"This is the only one in Indonesia where corn is planted in wetlands and we are collaborating with the Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) for the research," he explained.
Then a 10-hectare biofloc pond was also built which was filled with the cultivation of snakehead fish seeds or the local community calls it haruan fish.
In addition, the South Kalimantan Regional Police carried out the fattening stage of 150 cows at the Center for the Development of Agribusiness Science and Technology for small farmers (Puspitek Agripeka) in Tanah Laut Regency which will later be used as a cattle cultivation field.
The South Kalimantan Regional Police's food security program in the livestock sector is collaborating with the South Kalimantan Regional State Intelligence Agency (Binda), ULM and PT. Antang Gunung Meratus (AGM) and the local government.
