inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Acting Director General of Regional Administration Development of the Home Affairs Ministry, Amran, says the government is committed to push the implementation of smart cities through several supporting regulations.
“We are currently forming the Ministry of Home Affairs regulation on the implementation of urban management with the smart city approach,” says Amran on Sunday (9/8/2024).
In his statement, Amran says that the Directorate General of Regional Administration Development plays a vital role in underlining the direction of national policies.
“One of which is about the development of urban areas, particularly the development of smart cities in Indonesia,” explains Amran.
Therefore, in developing this goal, Indonesia is working together with South Korea by participating in the World Smart City Expo (WSCE) in Ilsan, South Korea. The International meeting was held on September 2-6, 2024.
In the meeting, Indonesia has reached an agreement through a business to business mechanism between Indonesian and South Korean private sectors.
“This has become a good moment for us together in building the smart city,” says Amran.
At the end of his statement, Amran says that the collaboration forged in WSCE can hopefully push the implementation of smart city to the maximum.
