Inp.polri.go.id – Maluku. Maluku Regional Police of Marine and Air Unit along with Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla) collaborates in securing Maluku waters through joint patrol.
“We hope the collaboration in water patrol could provide security and prevent law violations in Indonesian waters, which on this case is Maluku,” says Maluku Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Lotharia Latif on Thursday (3/21/2024).
The collaboration aims to improve the monitoring and patrol in the water area to prevent maritime criminal actions. He hopes that the collaboration would give positive impacts in handling various cases, such as illegal smuggling, piracy, and fish theft.
The Two-Star General emphasized the importance of coordination in providing security in Maluku waters considering the complexity of challenges in the area.
By strengthening the cooperation between the two parties, it is hoped that both security officials could provide more effective protection for Maluku maritime communities and maintaining stability in the area.
“We hoped that the collaboration could improve the effectiveness in monitoring and law enforcement in Maluku waters,” said Latif.
Furthermore, Latif also thanked Bakamla for the joint water patrols. He hopes that their joint operation would provide security and safety for Indonesian waters.
