inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan led the termination of several illegal goods worth IDR 5 billion in the warehouse area in Tambak Sawah, Sidoarjo, East Java.

“Our monitoring agency has oversee 18 companies with 363 import goods notification reports, and we have found 32 violations,” says Minister Zulkifli on Thursday (7/25/2024).

He says that from January to June 2024, there are eight illegal good products variants with a total value reaching hundreds of million rupiahs.

“Those products are fishery products worth IDR 755 million, ceramics IDR 181 million, plastic products almost IDR 3 billion, processed animal products IDR 300 million, forestry products IDR 651 million, electronics IDR 145 million, household health cosmetics IDR 280 million and food and beverage products IDR 80 million," explained Trade Minister Zulkifli.

Zulkifli reaffirms that the government will tighten the security monitoring against products that did not meet the applicable regulation to protect local industry and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that are threatened by the rise of illegal products.
