The Vice Minister of Communication and Informatics Nezar Patria invites citizens to maintain healthy digital space ahead the 2024 General Election. “In effort to create an inclusive and productive digital space, it is important to have collaboration with various parties to gain the information from various perspective,” says Vice Minister Nezar on Friday (1/26/2024). Moreover, Nezar says that in maintaining healthy digital space ahead election, Communication and Informatics Ministry has campaigned “2024 Peaceful Election”. The campaign aims to support the bigger goal of “Election as Election Integration Facilitator” set by KPU. “The narration of 2024 Peaceful Election focused on increasing the election participatory through to fulfil the rights to vote and be voted. The goal of this campaign is to prevent polarization by being smart voters and wise enough to maintain healthy and conducive digital space free from hoax,” said Nezar. According to Nezar, election could be the mirror on how good the democracy of the state is. It is hoped that the voting day on February 14th, 2024 would able to prove how good democracy in Indonesia is. “Digital space is a space for us all, and it is very important for us to also empower marginalized and vulnerable groups, including children," concluded Nezar.
