Inp.polri.go.id – Papua. Pertamina Patra Niaga of Papua-Maluku Region temporarily halts their fuel supply to Intan Jaya, Central Papua, due to ongoing conflicts since January 19th, 2024. The Area Manager Communication, Relations and CSR of the company, Edi Mangun told that all aviation towards Jayapura were canceled, including the fuel supply transport. “With heavy hearts, we are forced to temporarily halts our fuel supply to Intan Jaya after reviewing the current safety and security aspect at the region, as we also recommended to do so by the security apparatus,” explained Edi Mangun. Edi also reveals that two fuel supply distribution institutions affected are in Sugapa and Homeyo. PT Pertamina Patra Niaga of Papua-Maluku Region will continue to resupply when the situation at the region returned to normal. “Currently, the fuel stocks that are about to be transported are ready in Sentani Airport and awaits the Intan Jaya Airport operational to reopen by the airport authority,” says Edi. The company, says Edi, also prayed that the situation would return to normal so that Pertamina could continue to resupply Intan Jaya as usual. “We are in tight communication with the security officials and Intan Jaya government regarding the situation at the location. We hope that the situation would return to normal so that we can continue our fuel supply,” conclude Edi. (ad/as/pr/nm)
