Inp.polri.go.id - Oksibil. Under the bright morning sun at Oksibil Old Market, Bintang Mountains Regency, a sense of warmth and connection filled the air. Amid the usual hum of trade, the arrival of female police officers from Damai Cartenz Operation 2025 brought an unexpected yet welcome presence.
Among them was Brigadier Ita Sombo Allo, whose friendly smile immediately put the vendors at ease. As she moved from stall to stall, she took the time to chat with traders, ask about their daily struggles, and share lighthearted conversations. But it wasn’t just about pleasantries—she also bought vegetables, fruits, and other local goods, showing genuine support for their businesses.
“We’re here not just to ensure safety but to stand with the community,” Brigadier Ita said, handing over cash to a vendor. “By buying from Papuan mothers, we hope to support their livelihoods, even in small ways.”
Her words were echoed by Senior Superintendent Yusuf Sutejo, the Damai Cartenz Operation 2025 Head of Public Relations, who highlighted that their presence went beyond maintaining order.
“Security is a shared responsibility,” he said. “We hope our presence builds trust and encourages the community to work with us in keeping this region safe.”
For the vendors, the visit wasn’t just about sales—it was a reminder that they were seen, heard, and valued.
