inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. On September 27th, 2024, the community of Communication and Information commemorated the 79th Bhakti Postel Day.

The Vice Minister of Communication and Information  Nezar Patria says that the 79th Bhakti Postel Day raises the theme of “Digital Nusantara for Advanced Indonesia”. This day will be the day to advance the postal, telecommunications and broadcasting sectors in Indonesia.

“Let us commemorate the Bhakti Postel Day as a momentum to celebrate the achievement that we have achieved while solidifying our commitment to contribute in spreading a quality information, educating the general public, and continue to advance Indonesia's postal, telecommunications and broadcasting sectors, in order to realize 2045 Golden Indonesia," said Nezar Patria on Friday (9/27/2024)

Nezar also highlights the significant achievements that have been achieved by Indonesia in telecommunications, postal and broadcasting sectors, especially in the last decade. Internet penetration, which in 2014 only reached 34 percent of the total population, has now increased to almost 80 percent in 2024.

The development of telecommunications infrastructure also continues to be carried out intensively, especially in the outermost, most remote and disadvantaged (3T) regions, which has now reached 97 percent coverage of residential areas in Indonesia.

Nezar Patria also said that significant progress in the telecommunications sector is believed to not only have an impact on economic growth, but also provide added social value to society.

Improved connectivity, he said, also opens up new opportunities in the digital space that can be used to encourage creativity, productivity and security, thus creating a positive economic impact on society.

Furthermore, he said that his party has launched the Vision of Digital Indonesia (VID) 2045, as an alternative roadmap for national digital transformation.

Digital infrastructure is the main foundation in supporting the three pillars of Indonesia's development direction in the digital sector, namely the digital economy, digital government, and digital society.

"Hopefully, VID 2045 can be a reference in advancing the postal and telecommunications industry, in order to realize the Vision of Golden Indonesia 2045," concluded the Vice Minister of Communication and Information
