Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Inspector General R. Adang Ginanjar, Chief of the West Sulawesi Regional Police, led the distribution of 3,000 ballot boxes for the 2024 Elections in six districts of Mamasa Regency, on Saturday (10/2/2024). The 3,000 ballot boxes were transported by 15 trucks to the districts of Pana, Tabulahan, Aralle, Tabang, Mambi, and Mehalaan in Mamasa Regency. Security for the logistics distribution was provided by six personnel and six patrol cars. For polling stations (TPS) security, the West Sulawesi Regional Police deployed 253 personnel to secure 600 TPS in Mamasa Regency. "Our deployed personnel have essential gear and medications for maximum security during the election process," he said. He also reminded the public not to be easily provoked or swayed by unclear information sources, saying, "When receiving information of unclear origin, we must verify its accuracy first." Meanwhile, Acting Regent Muhammad Zain commended the police chief and personnel for their vigilance in the West Sulawesi election process, especially in Mamasa Regency. He stressed the importance of elections in democracy, enabling people to choose their leaders and representatives in legislative bodies. "Let's unify during elections, not divide. Diversity in choices is natural," concluded the Acting Regent. (ar/sy/pr/nm)
