Central Sulawesi Police Forms "Power on Hand" Unit for Elections Security

Inp.polri.go.id - Palu. The Central Sulawesi Regional Police has formed a rapid response unit called "Power on Hand" to ensure security during the 2024 General Elections. Police Senior Superintendent Richard B. Pakpahan, Head of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police's Operation Mantap Brata Tinombala, said the unit comprises personnel from the Central Sulawesi Regional Police's framework company, the Samapta Directorate, and the Mobile Brigade Unit, totaling 1,094 officers. Tasked with securing various stages of the election process, including campaigning, voting, and counting, the unit is prepared for immediate deployment under leadership guidance. "We've set up the Power on Hand unit, ready for immediate deployment under leadership guidance," he said. Comprising riot control, response, anti-anarchist, bomb squad, and counter-terrorism units, equipped with essential gear, the "Power on Hand" unit is dedicated to upholding public order. Emphasizing the readiness of personnel and resources for immediate deployment, the Central Sulawesi Regional Police is committed to safeguarding and overseeing the entire 2024 Election process, he concluded.
