Inp.polri.go.id - Bandarlampung. The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Lampung has reported that 11,223 residents in 16 out of 20 districts and 79 of the city's 124 sub districts were affected by floods in the city since Friday.
Wahyu Hidayat, the BPBD Lampung's Disaster Analyst, said that 14,160 homes and 518 families were affected.
"We are assessing the damage and providing support to residents," he said on Sunday (19/1/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Relief efforts include distributing logistical aid and clearing mud from residential areas, with assistance from local authorities, the fire department, military, police, and other agencies.
Key areas affected include Bumi Waras, Kedaton, Rajabasa, and Sukabumi, with thousands of homes inundated. In East Teluk Betung, six subdistricts reported 2,193 houses affected and 4,067 people impacted.
