146 Bodies in Cianjur Have Been Identified

inp.polri.go.id -  The National Police's Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Team has succeeded in identifying 146 bodies of the Cianjur earthquake, West Java. “Today, we have succeeded in identifying a person with the postmortem number of 062/22/CJR/148 which matches with the antemortem data number 114, which makes the total bodies that we have identified to 146,” said Supervisor I of Disaster Victim Identification, dr. Paula Lihawa at Sayang Hospital, Cianjur, Monday (11/28). He said that the victim with the postmortem number of 062/22/CJR/148 is Endin Saefudin, a man aged 37 from Cijendil. Currently, the Disaster Victim Identification team of the National Police, with the help from East Java Police Medical Unit, continues their effort in identifying the victims of the earthquake at Sayang Hospital. The Supervisor I of Disaster Victim Identification team, state that they have received a total of 162 bodies, found by SAR team. “On Monday, November 28th, 2022, we have received another two bodies, which makes the total body of earthquake victims in Cianjur to 162,” said dr. Paula Lihawa. Based on the data from National Board for Disaster Management, until Sunday (11/27), the earthquake that occured in Cianjur caused 321 people died and forced 73,874 to leave their house.
