Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Silmy Karim, the Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, announced on Monday (14/10/2024) that approximately 500 foreigners have applied for the Golden Visa, with numbers expected to rise.

“Every day, the figures change. The only notable applicant so far is Shin Tae-yong; I haven’t monitored each application closely,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com

The Golden Visa allows foreign nationals to enter and stay in Indonesia for five to ten years. Holders benefit from expedited immigration processes, longer stay durations, asset ownership rights, and a fast track to citizenship.

Categories for the Golden Visa include individual and corporate investors, former Indonesian citizens, descendants of former citizens, second home seekers, global talents, and notable figures.

Silmy highlighted that the Golden Visa service offers foreign investors the opportunity to explore Indonesia's vast potential, encouraging contributions to the national economy through job creation and investments.

“The Golden Visa allows Indonesia to compete globally for investment and quality revenue,” Silmy emphasized.
