inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo reveals data on handling of natural resource crimes from 2020 to the end of October 2024. A total of 8,527 cases have been prosecuted.
"During that period, the total state loss was IDR 17.55 trillion," explained the Chief of Police in a Hearing Session with Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives on Monday (11/11/2024).
General Sigit said, of the total natural resource (SDA) crime cases handled by the Police, 1,007 cases files have been returned from the prosecutor's office to be completed, while 7,520 cases files have been transferred to the prosecutor’s office.
Furthermore, General Sigit reveals the state losses that were successfully saved were around IDR 15.4 trillion and the losses that had the potential to be saved were IDR 2.15 trillion.
"The cases handled consist of mining crimes, forestry crimes, fisheries, andforest and land fires," said the Chief of Police.
According to General Sigit, his institution will continue to try to save the potential state revenue from the natural resources sector and minimize leakage from the sector. This is in accordance with President Prabowo Subianto's Astacita program which wants to save the natural resources sector so that it can be utilized for all Indonesian people.
