inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Agriculture distributes cayenne pepper seeds to support farmers in South Sulawesi and South Papua.

"In addition to South Sulawesi, the distribution of chili seeds was also carried out in the Ilwayab district, South Papua. We are distributing the seeds to help our farmers there," said the Director of Vegetables and Medicinal Plants of the Ministry of Agriculture, Andi Muhammad Idil Fitri on Thursday (10/24/2024).

In South Sulawesi, as many as 24,000 chili seeds aged 4-6 weeks were distributed. These seeds will be distributed to 24 districts and cities, with each region receiving a thousand seeds.

Meanwhile, in South Papua, seed distribution took place in the Ilwayab district, Wanam Village, Merauke Regency. This distribution included 945 sachets of seeds, with 800 of them are cayenne pepper seeds and 25 others are eggplant seeds, and 825 polybags. This is expected to help farmers in the region.

Representing the Ministry of Agriculture, Andi hopes this program can boost agricultural production in the area. This support is important so that farmers can be more productive and independent.
