Bangka Belitung Police Name 3 New Suspects in Illegal Mining Case

Inp.polri.go.id - Pangkalpinang. The Bangka Belitung Regional Police had named three new suspects in connection with illegal mining cases, bringing the total number of suspects to 13 by Sunday (21/4/2024).

The three newly identified suspects were Sumitro, FF, also known as Febby, from the Nangnung Selatan Air Kantung Complex, and FB, also known as Firada.

"Initially summoned as witnesses, they were later designated as suspects due to sufficient evidence on Friday," explained Senior Superintendent Jojo Sutarjo, the Bangka Belitung Police Head of Public Relations.

These suspects were identified as organizers or coordinators of illegal mining activities in Sungai Kolong Buntu.

"Investigators from the Sub-Directorate of Law Enforcement of the Water and Air Police Department of the Bangka Belitung Police also named several individuals as suspects," added Chief Jojo..

All 13 suspects were detained at the Water and Air Police Detention Center of the Bangka Belitung Police for further questioning.
