Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police arrested 18 people in a major anti-drug raid in Kampung Bahari, North Jakarta, on Wednesday (5/11/2025), following a violent clash with suspected cartel members.
The operation, involving over 170 personnel, uncovered methamphetamine, ecstasy, marijuana, and drug equipment from two sites, as reported by antaranews.com.
“We had anticipated resistance from the drug cartel, and it happened,” said BNN Director of Enforcement Brigadier General Roy Hardi Siahaan. “Some residents within the area’s drug network attacked officers with samurai swords, stones, and fireworks, but the situation was brought under control.”
During the raid, officers seized over 120 grams of meth, 52 ecstasy pills, 39 grams of marijuana, 74 bongs, 15 scales, Rp7.6 million in cash, and 11 mobile phones. No officers were injured in the operation. All suspects and evidence were taken to the North Jakarta BNN office for further investigation. Authorities described the area as a long-standing narcotics stronghold.
