inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. As part of PT KAI's efforts to improve the welfare of its employees, especially mothers, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) inaugurated the Rail Kids Daycare facility at its head office in Bandung.

This facility was launched to coincide with KAI's 79th anniversary by KAI President Director Didiek Hartantyo. Rail Kids Daycare can accommodate up to 15 children aged three months to three years.

"The definition of employee welfare is no longer limited to the physical aspect alone, but also includes mental and social dimensions. Understanding the crucial role of employee well-being, KAI presents several initiative programs designed to create a healthy work environment, support employee development, and optimize productivity," said KAI Vice President of Public Relations, Anne Purba, as reported by the RRI page, Saturday (28/9/24).

This childcare facility aims to help employees, especially those with family responsibilities. The hope is that employees can work with more focus during working hours.

Rail Kids Daycare is managed by the Railway Women's Foundation (YWKA), and is designed to meet childcare governance standards. According to Anne, this facility is intended for employees who work at the KAI Head Office and Bandung Operation Area 2.

This facility is also equipped with CCTV cameras that allow parents to monitor their children. In addition, children will receive lunch and snacks.

This policy is in line with the steps of the Ministry of SOEs which previously launched the Daycare Program on December 22, 2023. This program is part of the Employee Well-Being initiative, which aims to support the mental, social, and physical well-being of employees.
