inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Statistic Center Agency (BPS) showed the price of red chili is going down in the second week of July 2024. The decrease was followed with the diminishing number of regions that experienced price increase.

“The price of red chili in the second week of July 2024 is going down. It goes down 9.11 percent from June 2024,” says the Acting Deputy of Distribution and Service Statistics, Habibullah, on Tuesday (7/16/2024).

In his remarks, he says that the average price of red chili in the second week of July is IDr 48,635 per kilogram. The price is slightly cheaper than last week with the price of IDR 48,819 per kilogram.

Moreover, the number of regions experiencing price increase on red chili are 70 regencies in cities in the second week of July. The number is lower than last week with 76 regions.

Highlighting the good news, Habibullah urges regions to continue to control the price of red chili, particularly regions who are still experiencing the price increase.
