Inp.polri.go.id -  Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) has undertaken the planting of 1.000 trees across the entire country today. This tree planting campaign spans from the INP Headquarters to 34 regional police offices, serving as a commemoration of Indonesia's 78th Independence Day and in celebration of the 75th Anniversary of Indonesian Female Police (Polwan). "Tree planting or greening efforts are being carried out across all regional police offices, extending to police sector levels. Our objective is to plant a thousand trees in honor of Indonesia's 78th Independence Day," stated the Assistant of INP Chief for Human Resources Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, at the Women's Police School (Sepolwan) in Ciputat, South Jakarta, on Friday (18/8/23). During the event, Inspector General Dedi is accompanied by the Coordinator Officer of the Indonesian Female Police Brigadier General Desy Andriani and the Head of Women's Police School Police Senior Superintendent Ratna Setiawati, for the planting of Musang King Durian tree saplings. "Today, we are also preparing for the 75th Anniversary of Indonesian Female Police," he expressed. Expanding on the initiative, he outlined INP's ambition to sow 1 million tree saplings by October as INP's commitment to addressing climate change issues. The former Head of Public Relations Division of INP further detailed that tree sapling planting will be carried out again on Wednesday, August 23. "We will keep everyone updated on the progress. We have already distribute schedules to each regional police office, and they have provided reports on the designated greening areas. This simultaneous effort will take place on the 23rd," he concluded. (ta/pr/nm)
