Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Central Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 39-year-old diplomat, whose body was found with tape wrapped around his head at a guesthouse in Menteng, Central Jakarta.

“Our Criminal Investigation Unit is analyzing witness statements, CCTV footage, and physical evidence to determine the cause of death,” said Central Jakarta Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Susatyo Purnomo Condro, on Tuesday (8/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The victim, identified as ADP, an employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs originated from Yogyakarta, was discovered lifeless at 8.30 am in Room 105 of Guest House Gondia after a report from a local resident.

“The body was found lying on the bed, head wrapped in duct tape, and covered with a blanket,” he added.

Police have transported the body to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital for autopsy to confirm the exact cause of death, while the investigation continues.
